Mental health conditions can vary in intensity and severity. That’s why it’s important to have access to different treatment options and levels of care. Outpatient mental health treatment provides a way to receive care without stepping away from your daily life entirely.
At AMFM (A Mission For Michael) Mental Health Treatment, our structured outpatient treatment gives you the flexibility to get the care and support you need while also being able to keep up with your everyday life and responsibilities.
We offer structured and supportive programs that empower you to reclaim your well-being. Depending on your care needs, we offer multiple levels of outpatient care, including:

At AMFM Mental Health Treatment, we believe that no one is treatment-resistant. Instead, our philosophy believes everyone is “treatment-persistent.” This approach to care means that our team will work with you to adapt and revise treatment until we find something that works for you.
We also take the approach that healing happens faster in connection with others, which is why our outpatient therapy programs for adults center on group work. It’s not that group-based therapy replaces individual sessions, but rather they work together to offer you effective ways to build insight, practice new skills, and feel less alone.
Our flexible mental health treatment programs create consistent therapeutic engagement while giving you the opportunity to remain engaged in your daily life.
The process of starting treatment can come with a lot of unknowns. At AMFM Mental Health Treatment, we work with you to make the process (from start to finish) feel clear and supportive. Here is what to expect from our day programs for mental health:
The first step in the process of enrolling in our outpatient therapy programs for adults is to verify your insurance coverage, if you have it and are using it.
At AMFM Mental Health Treatment, we work with a variety of major insurance companies to offer you the best services. Our admission staff will verify your benefits, answer any questions regarding costs and payment, and discuss out-of-pocket expenses.
If you do not have insurance or would rather pay out of pocket, we will also discuss service fees and payment options, including sliding-scale fees, so you understand outpatient mental health costs.
Once benefits and payment options are understood, you’ll then meet with one of our highly trained clinicians for an assessment and evaluation.
During this assessment, you’ll discuss your symptoms and how they’re impacting you and your medical and mental health history. The clinician will also ask you about your current living situation, support systems, and any goals you have for treatment.
This in-depth assessment allows them to recommend the best level of care for your needs and then, together, come up with a personalized treatment plan that meets those needs.
The final step in the process is to engage in treatment that includes:
Your level of care, whether partial hospitalization (PHP) or intensive outpatient (IOP), will determine how often you attend treatment.
As you progress, you and your team will adjust your treatment plan to reflect improvements or other issues you’d like to address.
AMFM is here to help you or your loved one take the next steps towards an improved mental well-being.
AMFM Mental Health Treatment offers multiple levels of care, making it easier to find the right fit based on your needs and availability. We offer both partial hospitalization programs (PHP) and intensive outpatient programs (IOP).
If you’re comparing IOP vs PHP mental health, the main difference comes down to time and intensity. A PHP offers more immersive daily care, while an IOP allows for greater flexibility as you reintegrate into daily life.
The most valuable aspects of our outpatient mental health treatment programs are the flexibility and accessibility. We offer in-person and hybrid care at our facilities in California, Washington, and Virginia. Our in-person outpatient treatment is from Monday to Friday, with hours dependent on location, but they can run anywhere between 9:00 AM and 8:00 PM.
However, we also provide virtual outpatient mental health programs that run seven days a week. For example:
This flexibility allows you to fit treatment around your schedule and attend it from the comfort of your home.
Our outpatient programs at AMFM Mental Health Treatment combine evidence-based therapies with experiential and holistic approaches to support your whole well-being. Our clinically proven approaches include, but are not limited to:
These therapies can help you better understand thought patterns, regulate emotions, and build healthier behaviors over time. In addition to these traditional therapies, we also include meditation and yoga, as well as art and music therapies to create other ways to process your emotions and foster new ways of coping.
At AMFM Mental Health Treatment, we understand that picking a specific treatment program is a personal decision. When you’re looking for outpatient mental health treatment, choosing us gives you a balance between clinical expertise and real-life flexibility. With AMFM’s outpatient treatment, you’ll get:
If at any point during your outpatient treatment it seems you would benefit from additional support, we can transition you to our residential mental health program. At this level of care, you’ll have access to around-the-clock support from our compassionate clinical team.
For outpatient mental health treatment that feels both supportive and sustainable, look no further than AMFM Mental Health Treatment.
