Our facility is renowned for its exceptional care and individualized approach, ensuring that each person’s unique needs and circumstances are addressed with compassion and expertise. At AMFM, we are dedicated to fostering a supportive and nurturing environment where both clients and their families can find hope and healing.

At AMFM, we offer a wide variety of therapies designed to support the healing journey of individuals struggling with mental illnesses. In addition to traditional therapeutic approaches, we provide additional therapies that help support your loved ones:

Cognitive Behavioral Therapy

Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT) is a type of psychotherapy that helps individuals understand the thoughts and feelings that influence behaviors. It is commonly used to treat a wide range of mental health issues, including depression, anxiety disorders, phobias, and post-traumatic stress disorder (PTSD).

Dialectical Behavior Therapy

Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT) is an evidence-based therapy that helps individuals learn skills to manage intense emotions, improve relationships, and cope with distressing situations more effectively. It is particularly effective for individuals with mental health disorders characterized by emotional dysregulation. DBT promotes lasting changes in behavior and emotional well-being through a structured and supportive therapeutic approach.

Transcranial Magnetic Stimulation

Transcranial Magnetic Stimulation (TMS) is a safe and effective non-invasive treatment for major depressive disorder and other psychiatric conditions. By stimulating nerve cells in the brain with magnetic pulses, TMS can help alleviate symptoms of depression and improve overall mood and well-being. TMS offers a promising alternative for individuals who have not responded well to other treatments, providing hope and relief from depressive symptoms.

Somatic Experiencing

Somatic Experiencing (SE) is a therapeutic approach developed by Dr. Peter Levine that focuses on addressing and resolving trauma and stress-related disorders by paying attention to bodily sensations. SE aims to release the physical tension and stored energy associated with traumatic experiences, helping individuals restore their natural capacity for self-regulation and resilience.

Psychodrama

Psychodrama is an experiential form of therapy that uses guided drama and role-playing to help individuals explore and gain insight into their lives. Developed by Dr. Jacob L. Moreno in the early 20th century, psychodrama allows participants to act out events from their past, present, or future, thereby gaining a deeper understanding of their emotions, behaviors, and relationships.

Psycho-Educational Groups

Psycho-educational groups are valuable therapeutic tools that combine education, skill-building, and peer support to help individuals manage their mental health and improve their quality of life. By providing knowledge, skills, and a supportive environment, psycho-educational groups empower participants to take an active role in their mental health treatment and recovery journey.

Expressive Arts Therapy

Expressive Arts Therapy is a multimodal therapeutic approach that integrates various forms of creative expression, including visual arts, music, dance, drama, and writing, to promote emotional, psychological, and spiritual well-being. It is based on the belief that creative expression can help individuals explore their emotions, reduce stress, enhance self-awareness, and improve overall mental health.

Narrative Therapy

Narrative therapy is a therapeutic approach that separates a person from their problem. It views individuals as separate from their problems, helping them externalize and evaluate issues that affect their lives.

It involves the use of musical interventions in a therapeutic relationship by a qualified music therapist to achieve goals set by the individual or group receiving therapy.
