Therapies Offered In Washington

At AMFM Mental Health Treatment in Washington, we are committed to providing a comprehensive range of therapeutic modalities tailored to meet the unique needs of our clients. We offer comprehensive case management, behavioral health services, and specialized treatment plans that support individuals in overcoming challenges and enhancing their well-being. Detailed descriptions of each therapy and their unique benefits are available further in this section.

Cognitive Behavioral Therapy

CBT helps people struggling with their mental health to restructure and reprogram their maladaptive and negative thinking processes. The effectiveness of retraining cognitive and emotional processing is a life skill that lasts beyond treatment. Psychologists are trained to help you change your cognitive and emotional processes in order to outgrow coping mechanisms that may no longer be serving you.1

Dialectical Behavior Therapy

DBT, or “talk therapy,” helps process emotions by talking through situations with a qualified individual, in order to move forward with healthier ways of navigating interpersonal relationships, minimizing physical and emotional stress.

Group Therapy

In both inpatient and outpatient programs, group therapy is a primary form of therapy that allows people to feel less alone in their struggles, by relating to their peers. Groups are community-based and can span a variety of focus-areas and backgrounds. These groups can span a variety of backgrounds, including but not limited to art therapy, somatic therapy, and narrative therapy.2

Life Skills

These skills encompass a wide range of competencies, including suicide prevention, emotional regulation, communication, problem-solving, decision-making, and self-care. Learning and developing life skills is a crucial component of the therapeutic process, helping individuals achieve greater independence and improve their overall quality of life.

Family Therapy

Family Programming - Weekly Online

AMFM Mental Health Treatment offers family therapy through virtual family support groups that provide a dedicated time for families to engage in supportive and constructive interactions, fostering stronger relationships, and enhancing the overall treatment experience. Recovery takes a village, and it’s often helpful for family members to be involved in behavioral growth.

Wellbriety

Wellbriety focuses on holistic healing by integrating Native American spiritual principles with modern therapy. This approach emphasizes sobriety and wellness through cultural practices, such as talking circles, ceremonies, and the Medicine Wheel. By fostering a sense of community and cultural identity, Wellbriety helps individuals achieve mental, emotional, and spiritual balance, supporting long-term recovery and overall well-being.

Integrative Holistic Care

Integrative holistic care combines conventional therapies with complementary practices to address the whole person—mind, body, and spirit. This approach includes a mix of psychotherapy, nutrition, exercise, mindfulness, and alternative treatments like acupuncture and yoga. By treating the individual as a whole, integrative holistic care aims to enhance overall well-being, promote balance, increased health benefits, and support lasting mental health recovery.

Virtual Mental Health Programming

Online mental health support is also accessible to residents in Washington state via our online outpatient program, Mission Connection. Virtual resources can be provided through our PHP and IOP mental health programs. Our virtual sessions offer interactive workshops and supportive group activities facilitated by mental health professionals, providing a safe space for learning and healing from the comfort of your own home.
