Stefanni Garnica

Primary Therapist II, OC

Stefanni Correa grew up in Colombia, where her passion to help others was ignited during school visits to nursing homes, where she observed the substandard conditions in which elderly residents lived. She earned her bachelor’s degree from UC Irvine and completed her master’s degree at Brandman University. Since 2014, Stefanni has been working in various residential treatment settings, gaining extensive experience and knowledge in managing mental health and substance abuse issues. In 2021, Stefanni joined A Mission for Michael as a Primary Therapist and was later promoted to Lead Therapist. In this role, she oversees the clinical care of clients dealing with severe mental illnesses across our residential facilities. Stefanni employs a variety of therapeutic approaches, including EMDR, DBT, CBT, and Psychodynamic therapy, to help clients address traumatic events, enhance emotional regulation, and manage mental health symptoms. Her goal is to successfully help clients gain coping skills, achieve healing, and stabilize, enabling them to transition back into the community.
