Michelle Chaker, ACSW

THERAPIST

Michelle Chaker is an Associate Clinical Social Worker (ACSW) who provides individual, group, and family inclusion sessions for those struggling with mental health and addiction. She believes that past struggles do not need to define the future and that all people are resilient, which is evident in her strengths-based approach in therapy.

Michelle has worked in community-based services, a domestic violence shelter, and an outpatient mental health facility with a broad range of populations. At A Mission for Michael, Michelle is a primary therapist who empowers clients by using an integrative approach to her clinical work utilizing evidence-based practices such as, cognitive-behavioral therapy (CBT), dialectical behavioral therapy (DBT), trauma-focused cognitive behavioral therapy (TF-CBT), trauma-informed care, and motivational interviewing (MI). 

Michelle received her BA in Psychology from California State University of Fullerton and Master of Social Work from the California State University of Fullerton. She is an advocate for her clients and uses a collaborative team approach with clinical staff and families to assist clients in their success.
