Methodology: This study surveyed 3,042 U.S. adults in July 2026 via the Cherry Data Signals platform to identify the local communities respondents believe experience the greatest pressure during the peak tourist season. Participants were asked to consider destinations where tourism places the greatest strain on everyday life for residents, including factors such as crowding, traffic, parking, noise, access to amenities, and pressure on local infrastructure and public spaces. Responses were aggregated to produce national and state-level rankings of the communities perceived to experience the highest levels of seasonal tourism pressure. Demographic quotas and weighting were applied where appropriate to ensure the sample was broadly representative of the U.S. adult population by age, gender, and region.
